Privacy Policy
Version v2026-07 · Last updated July 18, 2026
Streamrolling (“we”, “us”) helps you plan which streaming services to subscribe to and when to cancel. This policy describes what we collect, why, and your rights.
1. Who we are
Streamrolling is a free web application that builds a personal rolling plan from shows and movies you save. Contact: greg@streamrolling.com.
2. What we collect
- Account identity — handled by Clerk (email, name, authentication). We store a random analytics profile id linked to your Clerk user id; we do not put your email or name in our analytics tables.
- Watchlist / My Shows — titles you add (TMDB ids), order, favorites, and “watch live” marks.
- Rotation plans — computed subscribe/cancel months and services for shows you plan around.
- Clickstream — when you click cancel or subscribe links (including from reminder emails), we record the service, optional show context, and time — before redirecting you to the streaming service.
- Search queries — when you are signed in, we may log the search text as a demand signal for which show pages to improve.
- Country — approximate country from the hosting platform (e.g. Vercel IP country header), stored on your analytics profile (first seen) and with events.
- Reminders — whether email reminders are on, which plan type you chose, and that a reminder was sent or a reminder link was clicked.
- Policy acceptance — which policy version you acknowledged and when.
3. How we use data
- Provide the service — build and show your rolling plan, send optional email reminders, and keep your preferences.
- Improve Streamrolling — understand which shows and services users plan around.
- Aggregated, de-identified analytics — we may create statistics (for example monthly subscribe/cancel intent by service and country) that cannot reasonably identify you. Those aggregates may be shared with or licensed to third parties (e.g. for industry research). We apply a minimum cell size so sparse groups are not exported.
We do not sell per-user identifiable data (your email, name, or individual event history tied to you).
4. Processors / service providers
- Clerk — authentication and account identity.
- Supabase — database hosting for your shows, preferences, and analytics events.
- Vercel — application hosting and edge infrastructure (including approximate country from request metadata).
- Email provider (AWS SES or SMTP) — if you enable reminders.
- TMDB — show metadata and images (subject to TMDB terms); we are not endorsed by TMDB.
5. Retention
We keep account and plan data while your account exists. Analytics events are append-only and retained until you delete your account (or we delete them under a retention policy). Aggregated exports do not include user identifiers.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing.
- Delete your account and data — signed-in users can use Settings → Account → Delete my account and data, which removes analytics profile data (and cascaded events/plans) and deletes your Clerk account.
- Email us at the address above for access or other requests. We will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Cookies and similar tech
We use essential cookies/sessions for authentication (Clerk). We do not use third-party advertising trackers for Streamrolling product analytics described above.
8. Changes
We may update this policy and bump the version (e.g. v2026-07). If the version changes, we will ask you to acknowledge the new policy when you next use the app.
9. Not affiliated with streamers
Streamrolling is not affiliated with or endorsed by Netflix, Apple, Disney, Amazon, or any streaming service. Pricing and availability change; verify on the service before subscribing. Show data and images via TMDB.
